ANC leaders flock to Lephalale - Mathale

Limpopo Premier, Cassel Mathale lamented the fact that national political leaders flocked to towns like Lephalale and Burgersfort to chase business opportunities.
Mathale spoke at an ANC provincial event that was organized to host business people in Polokwane over the weekend. The Star Newspaper quoted Mathale as saying “They come to Lephalale driving themselves, because it’s very serious what is happening there.”
He told the audience that The ANC leaders were attracted to Lephalale and Burgersfort by monetary investments in excess of the province’s R43.85 billion budget for this financial year. He declined naming the ANC national leaders he said were conducting business in Limpopo towns.
Mathale made use of the opportunity to yet again lobby for the nationalisation of mines, reportedly saying: “They have said it will not happen in their lifetime. As we speak, we (the ANC) have put together a team to do a study and look at various methods that we can adopt to nationalise mines in South Africa.”
